Bright sunny skies were in force Saturday as Northview Park, in Pointe Claire, played host to the annual Winter Ice Break.
Mayor Morris Trudeau was on hand alongside hundreds of citizens, celebrated the season with their families, soaking up the atmosphere with free admission to events that included; pre-novice hockey, ice sculpture, inflatable games, skating, dog sleds, hot chocolate, maple candy on snow and BBQ.
The public works department created a 12-foot Snow Mountain for kids to slide.
“The kids love it. Look at them on top of the world. I’m not ready to do that climb” said Pointe Claire resident, Catherine So, watching her sons, Alex, and Oscar, enjoying life on the summit.
