Calling the city of Dollard des Ormeaux “dynamic”, Regional Vice-President Bernard Crevier of RBC Royal Bank is pleased to be part of a recent $1.5 million investment into the bank located on St. Jean’s Boulevard in Dollard des Ormeaux, making it a “financial services retail store.”

“Our retail store is equipped with a leading-edge banking technology and provides financial advice and services, which perfectly illustrates the direction RBC Royal Bank is taking in transforming its branches into specialized retail stores,” explained Crevier.

The newly renovated centre’s primary goal is to offer numerous financial services with qualified staff on site as well as integrating more technology into the customer’s experience.

New concepts for the bank include a Discovery Area that informs clients on money saving techniques as well as an Event Area showcasing a variety of hands on services using video screens and informative content.

Besides offering more space for private consultations, the newly renovated bank also has six banking experts comprised of account and mortgage advisors and financial planners. Busy clients who don’t have the time to meet at the bank can schedule in house visits at their convenience.

“Our clients are delighted to discover the benefits of our new RBC Retail Store and, in particular, to find that a team member is immediately on hand to provide guidance on how to use the various sources of electronic information,” explains RBC Retail Store Manager Alison MacDonald.

In addition to the new staff and new technology, the bank’s new floor plan creates more interactivity between staff and client.

“We are no longer tucked away in offices or behind a counter, and are now available to greet all our clients in a warm and professional manner,” said MacDonald.

The new set up with replete with iPads for instant technology access, another way RBC is hoping to offer customers “a one stop service, a different way to get banking service; one that is more personal and tailored to each customer, according to his or her needs,” MacDonald told The Suburban.
