Do you sleep naked?

Dr. Joseph Dzierzewski, senior vice president of research and scientific affairs at the National Sleep Foundation, says that “…temperature is one of the most underappreciated factors in sleep, pushing aside light, screens and stress, because modest changes in temperature and airflow can influence how quickly you fall asleep and how deeply you stay there.”

Body temperature naturally drops by about one or two degrees, allowing sleep, but if the cooling process is disrupted even a little, sleep can become more fragmented and less restorative.

The goal: Create a comfortable sleep microclimate, where your body isn’t trapping heat between your skin, sleepwear and bedding.

Bottom line: Go naked!

The goal is to feel comfortable and secure while helping your body cool naturally.

So, what if you lying there all naked and looking fine is interpreted as a invitation by your mate as an invitation, softly say, with love in your eyes, “…not tonight honey, it’s too hot.”
