Last week was relatively quiet for Laval Police, reported Const. Jolyane Ledoux—which was good news in terms of crime fighting in Quebec’s third-largest city.

One exception, she said, arose when firefighters rushed to 1076 Barcelone in Ste. Rose, Nov. 6, after someone called 911 at 4:10 a.m., to report that a Molotov cocktail had been thrown into his house.

“The building didn’t catch fire but it burned the exterior wall a little bit,” she told The Suburban in an interview.

Investigators arrested the 51-year-old owner of the house, though, after they found 100 marijuana plants growing inside.
