Multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, producer, and guitarist, Adrian Belew will be performing with his trio at Salle Andre-Mathieu in Laval, Dec. 12.
According Belew’s website, he has released 20 critically acclaimed solo albums, and has worked alongside Paul Simon, David Bowie, Talking Heads, Frank Zappa, Laurie Anderson and Nine Inch Nails. The Adrian Belew Power Trio includes bassist Julie Slick and drummer Tobias Ralph, both virtuoso musicians.
The long list of recordings and Belew’s upcoming tour is only a drop in the bucket of his accomplishments. He is a painter as well. He recently invented a music app called FLUX that blends music and art into an interactive experience that never plays the same twice.
FLUX provides hundreds of songs that play in short snippets along with visuals that randomly change with the music. FLUX also includes pictures, lyrics, studio notes, back stories about the songs, and interactive ways to share your FLUX experience with your friends via social media.
