Dorval residents who will pay to have their ash trees vaccinated in an effort to stem the emerald ash borer can receive a 50 percent subsidy from the city to help defray the cost.

Citizens who take part in vaccinating any ash trees on their residence with a diameter larger than 30 cm will be eligible for up to 50 per cent in subsidies to a maximum of $1,500.

Since May of this year, the city has been treating all ash trees within its territory and all private trees should be treated by the end of next month.
