The Foundation to support arts in Laval (FSAL) will hold its 30th scholarship gala at the Maison des Arts on May 21.

The evening begins promptly at 6:30 p.m., and scholarships totaling $44,200 will be awarded to 39 recipients. Scholarships at the university level are $1,200 while college level is $850.

Throughout the evening, several scholarship alumni with established careers both nationally and internationally will perform various art disciplines, such as music, dance and drama on stage. The event will be hosted byIsabelle Tremblay, the coordinator of the foundation.

The visual arts discipline can be seen on the big screen while language arts can be enjoyed in the program book.

Selected candidates will go through a jury process before the final selection is made. A new application must be completed for each year of study.
