The Department of Transportation announced last week that a full closure is to be expected of the Pie IX Bridge (Highway 125) between Laval and Montreal, starting Saturday, May 17 to Sunday, May 18 from 11:59 p.m. to 8 a.m.
More specifically, Pie IX Boulevard will be closed between Boulevard de la Concorde in Laval and Henri Bourassa in Montreal. In case of unfavorable weather conditions, the closure may be postponed. Several detours can be expected:
Northbound in Montreal, drivers will be routed through the streets of Charleroi, Avenue Garon, Henri Bourassa Boulevard and Highway 19 north.
Drivers will be routed to the service road of Highway 440 east to Highway 125 north.
Southbound in Laval, the detour route will be made to Boulevard de la Concorde and Highway 19 south, and will extend via Highway 40 to Highway 125 south.
Several additional closures are expected throughout the construction period. Schedules are available in the Montreal Mobility section of the www.Québec511.info website.
