Chomedey, Sainte Rose Vimont and Auteuil city councillors again this year held a party to honor neighborhood volunteers, April 24.

The volunteers gathered at the community centre in Vimont in the presence of Councillors David de Cotis (St. Bruno), Mrs. Virginia Dufour (Sainte Rose), Jocelyne Frederick-Gauthier (Auteuil), Michel Poissant (Vimont) and Michel Trottier (Chomedey).

“The staff of Laval municipal offices is conscious and extremely appreciative of the work done by volunteers from various local community organizations,” said Laval’s new head for Districts 5 and 6, Daniel Morin.

“This annual recognition event is organized especially for them to give us the opportunity to thank them and to spend quality time together.”

Centre de bénévolat et moisson Laval (CBML) is a non-profit organization, located at 1870 Michelin, that partners with city hall to develop and promote volunteering in Laval, and to improve the well-being of the Laval community. Together with the city, it coordinates volunteer efforts.

CBML also uses its Laval region food bank to meet the needs of community organizations with the processing, and free distribution of quality food. In addition CBML also has an emergency food service.
