Laval resident Yves Brault, 60, was descending Mount Washington with his wife, Oct. 2,
when he slipped on a ledge and injured his left
leg.

The mishap stranded the pair after they
climbed the treacherous summit to visit Lake

of the Clouds.

New Hampshire Fish and Game department officers organized a rescue team that hiked to
the summit to rescue Brault, who was taken
to hospital in Berlin, N.H., for treatment.

The search also involved members of the
Appalachian Mountain Club, Androscoggin
Valley Search and Rescue and Mount
Washington Park rescuers.
