While Kitchen 73 takes pride in its extensive menu that supports local farms it also gives back each year with a donation to a local Quebec charitable foundation. Located on Brunswick Boulevard corner Sources Boulevard in Dollard des Ormeaux, the newly opened restaurant will donate $0.73 per invoice over $12.73 to charity.
“Last year at our Laval location we raised $6,700 for charity,” Carmine Anoia one of three partners told The Suburban in an interview, “I will be choosing a local West Island charity for our new location when we do our selection process in September. I prefer to choose a smaller foundation as the amount donated means the world to them.”
As well as contributing to the community through donation as you sit down to embark on a culinary journey it is comforting to know the philosophy of the restaurant is one that believes Quebec is rich in fresh and naturally delicious produce and they choose products produced locally whenever possible.
For those who are gluten-intolerant the restaurant has a gluten free friendly environment. Though not a gluten free establishment the restaurant makes every effort not to cross contaminate in the kitchen. Gluten free options include pancakes, toast, cheese bread stuffed with cheddar cheese, tomato, mayo and lettuce, Nutella tarts, waffles with berries and a breakfast poutine with potatoes tossed with parmiggiano cheese, olive oil, shallots, bacon and Italian sausage, topped with homemade tomato sauce.
