Montreal Press Club holds first West Island meeting

For the first time in it’s 66-year history, the Montreal Press Club met on the West Island, July 31.

“Journalists need a place where they can gather outside the boundaries of work and their individual respective news organizations,” said Montreal Press Club chairman Robert Frank.

The initiative was well attended by journalists from the city of Montreal as well as the West Island. It was a chance to put faces to the names of the people who write the news each week.

Journalists shared tips and tricks to better serve the public when reporting while sharing fun stories about their adventures.

Though it is a competitive business the opportunity to gather and put the pens down was appreciated by all.
