Scene 1425 is preparing for a full day of concerts this coming Sept. 12. Five groups will share the stage in this first edition of the MRCY Block Party which will be held at Place Montmorency, 475 de l’Avenir.
Geared towards Montmorency College students as well as from University of Montreal’s Laval campus, to mark the start of the new school year concerts will be presented in both English and French.
The festivities will take place, rain or shine, starting at 3 p.m. The list of performing groups oriented towards the students are: Metric, The Barr Brothers, Sky Ferreira, Death from Above 1979 and Neutral Milk Hotel.
Scene 1425 is an initiative of the André Mathieu Hall in an effort to meet the cultural needs of adolescents and young adults. Their mission is to provide locations for upcoming talent, both local and international to perform.
