The new Glen Hospital having fewer beds was a somewhat short sighted decision. It failed to take into account that the city’s population is growing. At least St. Mary’s and the Jewish General are expanding their facilities for that purpose.
Whoever designed the Glen Hospital has probably never used the public transportation system. It was absolutely ridiculous to build a hospital next to a Metro Station and not having a connecting tunnel to protect staff, visitors and patients from Montreal’s severe weather conditions.
However, they made sure to put up a building with 4,000 parking spaces. Does it have a connecting tunnel to the hospital?
