The city has invited residents who are passionate about gardening to participate in Laval’s beautification contest.
The competition aims to highlight the work of citizens who strive to beautify their surroundings.
Be it flower boxes, water gardens, flower beds filled with blooms, the beautification competition includes every type of landscaping.
It has three categories: residential, professional and institutions, businesses and industries.
From July 22-August 23, entrants will be visited by a panel of judges composed of horticulture experts. The winners will be crowned this fall, and the winners unveiled in October on the city’s website.
The winners will share more than 20 prizes, worth a total of $2,000. The awards will be presented in the form of gift cards for horticultural and local products.
To enter the contest, residents must complete the entry form available in the environment section of the city’s website www.ville.laval.qc.ca before July 19, 2013.
