Laval police looking for fragrance shoplifter

Laval police are asking for the public’s help
in identifying a shoplifter who has committed
a string of thefts.

The first known theft was noted Sept. 16,
when store employees noticed that bottles of
perfume were missing from shelves.

When they screened security videos, they
observed a woman placing several bottles of
perfume in her bag.

On Sept. 22, the spotted the woman and
notified security. Police said that she again
placed perfume in her bag and left the store
without paying. When security staff confronted her, she escaped with the perfume.

Police said that the suspect is a 1.65 m tall
white woman of about 30 with long black hair
who weighs 59 kg.

They are urging citizens who can help to locate the suspect to call the Laval police hotline at [450] 662-INFO (4636) or call 911 and
mention file LVL 120922 031 and 033.
