Poulet frit à la Kentucky won’t be
available much longer at 1580 Curé
Labelle, in the wake of Olympus
Foods’ purchase of 65 PFK restaurants in Quebec.

The deal specifically excluded four
restaurants in Laval, Roberval, la
Tuque and Valleyfield, all of which
will be closed.

Olympus is affiliated with a company that already owns more than 50
fried chicken outlets in Manitoba and
Alberta and another 220 restaurants,
which are known as KFC outside of
Quebec.

Yum! Restaurants International
Canada president Sabir Sami said
that “while it is difficult for the affected communities, the transition to a
new franchisee will secure a positive
long-term future for PFK in
Quebec.”
