The suicide of Quebec pediatrician, 35-year-old Dr. Karina Poliquin, in Trois-Rivières, has some in the medical field demanding the changes that she lobbied for during talks between doctors and the Legault government: for more resources in the health-care system, support for health-care workers experiencing burnout, and for children’s health.

Quebec’s language police claim to have received a record number of complaints about the use of English in the province—up 50% in Montreal—11,000 complaints from April of last year to this past March—7% more than the previous year.
