The Italian-Canadian Community Foundation (ICCF) ended the year in great style on the occasion of their annual Christmas cocktail held on Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014, at the Léonardo da Vinci Centre. More than 100 Governors and friends celebrated a successful year for the organization.
Foundation president Joey Saputo provided a progress report on the Unitas project on behalf of its board of fiduciaries, which now includes presidents of four major Italian community organizations (Casa D’Italia, National Congress of Italian-Canadians, Léonardo da Vinci Centre and CIBPA Foundation).
Unitas will allow representation of the major organizations on the Foundation’s board to better face upcoming challenges and mobilize the Italian community.
The official Unitas kickoff is planned for next spring with eventual implementation by fall 2015. Until then, the FCCI and Untas partners will be collaborating on joint fundraising events and other initiatives to be introduced during the transition period.
