The Dolce Vita Ste. Rose free Italian gourmet festival is where one can discover the richness of Italian culture through food tastings. This year was no exception.

“As the honorary president of the second edition of the Dolce Vita of Ste. Rose, it was a pleasure for me to have been part of such a great event,” Laval executive committee vice-chairman David De Cotis stated in an interview. “I had the privilege and humility to teach Sister Angèle how to prepare minestrone soup!”

On Aug. 17, starting at 2 p.m. at 234 St. Rose Blvd. families enjoyed the taste of typical Italian dishes, dancing under the stars, plus a performance by singer Marco Calliari.

“An event like the Dolce Vita of Ste. Rose is a great opportunity to build relationships between neighbors and between different cultural communities,” he explained. “This year, the funds raised will be donated to the organizations Sun Youth and Meals on Wheels of Ste. Rose,” De Cotis explained.
