Chapter’s Indigo, Pointe Claire, was the site Friday night in an innovative method of fundraising towards aiding The West Island Women’s shelter. (WIWS)
The concept was 10 per cent of book sales between the hours of 3:30-9:30 p.m. would benefit the WIWS.
“The Chapter’s fundraising event was a dynamic activity that not only raised $1,600 but also created public awareness.
We also hope that we may have “opened the door” for anyone to seek our help & support. It’s all in the community spirit and involvement that together we can eliminate conjugal violence. We sincerely thank all those that came out to support our worthy cause,” Diane Gibb, Director of Development and Fundraising for WIWS, told The Suburban.
