The non-profit agency, West Island Crusade Against Cancer, is holding a charity run to be held in Baie d’Urfé next Saturday, July 5 to raise funds in the fight against cancer.

A number of race options and distances are being offered including a family 1 K, five kilometre walks and runs and even a 10k run for more athletic fundraisers.

The city of Baie d’Urfé has stepped up with help from the Rescue Squad for logistics during the race, water, ice and juice are being provided by the Provigo grocery store. The city council approved the temporary closure of some streets for the race and Mayor Maria Tutino will officially begun the race.
