While waiting for more dedicated train lines between Vaudreuil and downtown Montreal, members of the Train de l’ouest coalition, including co-founder Clifford Lincoln and Baie d’Urfé Mayor Maria Tutino, spoke to media at the Valois Train Station, Monday.

The members of Train de l’ouest are asking the government and AMT to, while they wait for the eventual project to see the light of day, add three additional trains to the Vaudreuil-Hudson line by next year.

Noting that new trains were added to the AMT’s network in St. Jérôme and Candiac this past summer, Lincoln is concerned that West Island commuters “despite their needs for improved transit, might never get their turn.”
