Political party Option Laval is currently waiting for an approval from the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) on behalf of Claire Le Bel, counsellor for Concorde–Bois-de-Boulogne to run in the upcoming Laval elections.
When the authorization is given, it will be the fifth political party in the run for elections in Laval for Nov. 3.
Le Bel was unavailable to make a comment on whether she was candidate for mayor under the banner of the new party.
She is an independent candidate since last November after being elected in 2009 under the Parti Ralliement Officiel des Lavallois (PRO party of Laval).
