There are limited tickets available for the newest event on the West Island Community Shares (WICS) docket. Bags to Riches will take place on Tuesday, June 17, at Marlowe’s on St. Jean Boulevard from 5:30-9 p.m.
Dahlila Ricci of ShePlansIt.com, the event planner for the occasion was looking for a way to give back when her friend Tara Upton, longtime volunteer and supporter of WICS, came up with the idea of auctioning off handbags.
“I wanted women to have a reason to come out after putting in a full day,” Ricci explained in an interview with The Suburban, “I like to get dressed up and wanted to give people a chance to put on some heals, have some fun all the while giving back to a great cause like WICS.”
With over 60 purses on the silent auction block, the evening promises to be one of excitement. There will be cocktails, food, and firemen who will be selling raffle tickets for some interesting prizes. All proceeds will be donated to West Island Community Shares.
Brands such as Michael Kors, Coach, Nappa, Lois Butler, m0851, Pragai Couture, Dooney and Bourke, Lanvin, Chanel and more. There will be two authentic Louis Vuitton bags available to the highest bidder.
The evening makes for a great night out with the girls. All for a great cause.
This event is being organized by ShePlansIt.com planner Ricci, and longtime supporter and Community Shares volunteer Tara Upton.
