The Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board has sent personal information of parents of young people attending Rosemere high school—followed a half hour later by an urgent email message asking recipients to not read the previous email and to delete it immediately. The mail, titled “ROSEMERE HIGH SCHOOL—Back to School 2026-27,” has an attached Excel spreadsheet containing their names. birth dates, social insurance numbers, phone numbers, email addresses and country of birth as well as emergency telephone numbers and contacts. The chairman of the Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board, James Di Sano, has issued an apology.

An RCMP raid on a home in Montreal North on De Belleville Avenue between Fleury and Mont-Joli, has seen two people arrested and is part of an investigation involving United States Customs that targeted a house which allegedly served as a stop-off point for illegal migrants who were headed to the United States. Police were alerted to the presence of the premises following an incident June 2, when an RCMP officer was injured in an altercation with a smuggler who had been intercepted near the U.S. border in a vehicle with five illegals onboard, and saw the motorist ramming the door of a patrol car, injuring an officer.

Longueuil police say that a man accused of domestic violence who cut off his GPS tracking bracelet has been arrested in Ontario and that 35-year-old Andres Felipe Muñoz had altered his appearance to escape detection. He will be charged with probation violation and criminal harassment.

Montreal police are hunting a pervert who allegedly sexually assaulted a number of women and terrorized a minor on public transit.

REM operations are back to normal, following a seven-hour cut in service in both directions between the Canora and Côte-de-Liesse stations yesterday, caused by a “…technical issue with the light-rail signaling equipment” that forced thousands of people to find other ways to get about.

The Office Municipal d’Habitation de Montréal says that 71 households have been relocated to short-term accommodation, following the province’s unofficial Moving Day on July 1, when they were evicted with no place to go.
