A 28 year old woman is recovering from injuries, after being knocked from her bicycle by a tractor-trailer in Montreal’s Old Port, as it turned on des Moulins Street near Quai-Bickerdike.

The Surete du Quebec has charged a 54-year-old man in connection with the death of 21 year old Nicous D’André Spring in Bordeaux jail 3 years ago, when correction officers put a spit hood on him, following a fight with another inmate, then pepper sprayed him.

The Quebec Court of Appeal has overturned a Superior Court ruling dismissing an $8-million sexual assault civil lawsuit against billionaire Robert Miller, which will allow the the plaintiff to sue him based on her claim for several years beginning when she was 17 she had been the victim of a network of sexual exploitation of underage girls, set up and operated by Miller and his associates.
