Société de transport de Laval (STL) bus driver Marc Ménard, 44, remains missing more than a month after he disappeared while traveling southbound through the Mexican border town of Nuevo Laredo in his white 1993 Pontiac minivan.
He was reported missing around March 14, after he last communicated with friends.
Last week it was reported that Mark Morneau, a close friend of Ménard, had discovered that Ménard had had an aggressive argument with several women before he vanished. One of the women was Ménard’s former girlfriend, who herself and her husband were potential suspects to the investigation.
Evidently Ménard’s ex-girlfriend reported misleading information about where Ménard went missing, after Laredo officials proved unaware of Ménard’s disappearance.
Hoping to find his son, his father, Robert Ménard, launched a website that traced his son’s journey and a Facebook page was created to share any new evidence that was found.
On the Facebook page, a Mexican man claimed he was certain that he saw Ménard’s vehicle recently. The man also provided a description of who was driving his vehicle and what it looked like, together with descriptions that have not been released publicly.
“The STL sent out a notice to all tran- sit authorities and to local television stations in Mexico to advise them we have a missing colleague,” STL spokeswoman Marie-Céline Bourgault told The Suburban. “We need to put pressure on the federal government to find him; this is all that the STL can do.”
Bourgault explained that STL employees have been raising funds in an effort to find their missing colleague.
