From Sept. 4-29, Beaconsfield Library will open its doors to art lovers for an exhibition of work by Montreal artist, Luciano Germani. This will be the first time that he has had a public showing of his work, and will comprise many of his unique examples of digitally manipulated photographs.
Germani commented “I am fascinated by the concept of duality, the unifying theme in a large number of my compositions. It is when exploring aspects of what I see, that I can better appreciate what is before me. The recurring elements in my work serve to maintain a style and interconnectivity between often seemingly diverse pieces, yet no two completed works are alike.”
Having worked for many years at McGill University, Germani, who lives in Pierrefonds, has immersed himself in his art over the last four years, and his artistic journey culminates in the three and a half week long exhibition at which prints of his work will be for sale.
The vernissage for the exhibition will be held on Sept. 8 in the Media Room of Beaconsfield Library, 303 Beaconsfield Blvd. For more information about Luciano Germani and his unique digital collages visit his website.
