Justice Denis Gallant has released his findings, following months of investigation and says that Société de l’assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ) leadership “lied” to government people, providing them with “misleading,” “fallacious,” and “hypocritically reassuring” information, to “conceal” the increased costs of its digital transformation.
He says that the false information disseminated by the SAAQ was not due to careless errors, but was a deliberate action, “aimed at hiding the total cost of the program from parliamentarians, the government and the public.”
