Prime Minister Carney, speaking in Quebec city at the Liberal Cabinet retreat, said that Canada is at a moment in history where “our values must be fought for” as a country based on inclusion, setting an example to the rest of the world and refuted U.S. President Trump; that Canada “lives because of the United States” saying that “…Canada thrives because we are Canadian.”

22-year-old Arthur Galarneau, the Montreal man who murdered his parents and grandmother, stabbing them 212+ times, will do no jail time because he is not considered criminally responsible for what he did, due to his schizophrenia with delusions, hallucinations, and psychotic symptoms.

The politicians who used to run Montreal say that Ensemble Montréal’s 2026 budget will not “…improve urban life and reverse the exodus of Montrealers” as promised. Projet Montréal has launched a petition calling for a budget that “doesn’t leave families behind” by cutting recreational services, green spaces and the city’s welcome boxes for unwanted newborns.
