Quebec will not accept new sponsorship applications from residents who want to sponsor spouses / common-law partners / adult children until next year, citing the cap for family reunification sponsorship.

Two biomarkers identified by researchers at Laval University could lead to improved management of chronic musculoskeletal pain.

Professor Clermont Dionne’s team found the presence of acrylamide and cadmium in the body increased the risk of CMP.

It causes a lot of disability, ”…even if patients eventually recover within a few weeks, the pain will come back.”

Acrylamide and cadmium are toxic compounds found in cigarette smoke, in food and other products that people can be exposed to daily.

Researchers believe their accumulation in the body can influence the nervous system and contribute to chronic pain.
