The search for the child took a major step forward yesterday with investigators able to establish the girl and her mother were spotted together in the Casselman / St. Albert area on Sunday, at around 2P, which narrowed the timeframe considerably, as investigators had been working off information the child was last seen alive at her home in LaSalle and narrowed the location of the mother’s vehicle, which would have been on the road (likely on highways 417, 40, 30 and 20) — between 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. to get from the Ontario communities to Coteau-du-Lac, where the mother showed up without her daughter, saying she was missing.

There has been no application made for a psychiatric evaluation of the mother to assess mental stability and her ability to stand trial, either from the judge, Crown or her lawyer.
