Sidewalks begin in June

Good news for some residents in Côte des Neiges–Notre Dame de Grâce: The borough has approved a list of roads that will be worked on this year as part of its three-year capital works budget.
The $2,100,000 budget will be spent on sidewalks, levelling and repaving sections of local and collector roads in all districts of the borough. The jobs include related work (replacing sump heads sewer grates, et cetera), quality control work (coring, laboratory testing), professional services and other expenses.
Portions of the following streets will be improved this year: In Snowdon district, Coolbrook, Clanranald and Mountain Sights; in Darlington, Bourret, Decelles and Kent; in Côte des Neiges, Swail, Soissons, St. Kevin and Louis Colin; in Notre Dame de Grâce, Hingston, Crowley and Grey; in Loyola, Coronation and Prince of Wales.
Another $3,367,000 allocated by the centre city will be spent on specific sections of the following roads: in Snowdon, Mountain Sights, Plamondon, Van-Horne, Coolbrook, Labarre; in Darlington, Ellendale, Lavoie, Chambois; in Côte des Neiges, Édouard Montpetit, Grosvenor; in Notre Dame de Grâce, Prud’Homme, Belgrave, Marlowe, Vendôme; in Loyola, West Hill, Connaught, Fielding, Patricia and Mariette.
Work will be carried out in three phases: Reconstructing sidewalks and related work from June 15-July 15; levelling of roadways from July 15-Aug. 15; and repaving from Aug. 15-Sept. 15.
