Very good and timely piece by Robert Frank on the stupendous achievement of Curiosity. I know this was based on an interview with a local resident and it’s great that we have the privilege of boasting a space expert among us. But I wonder at the spelling of “kilometer” in the text. Desjardins belongs to a Canadian agency that has adopted long ago the International Standards of the Scientific World with the spelling of the Metre as the unit of measurement in the metric system. So has NASA, but once in a while there’s a slip and you see “kilometre” in the American and indeed in the Canadian Press. Great article!
