Transport Quebec is yet again imposing more meandering for late-night motorists. It announced that it has planned another overnight shutdown of the Highway 125 bridge that links Laval and Montreal, tonight and tomorrow night, for construction work. <\/p>\n

It plans to progressively close down lanes starting at 8 p.m., both nights, and stop all southbound traffic at 10 p.m., with all northbound traffic completely diverted a half-hour later. The bridge is slated to reopen at 5 a.m., each of the following mornings. <\/p>\n

Transport Quebec said in a statement that it will post signs detouring motorists via the Papineau-Leblanc Bridge on Highway 19.<\/p>\n

Northbound Pie IX will be closed from Henri Bourassa in Montreal to Concorde in Laval. The route will be shut to southbound traffic all the way from Highway 440 in Laval to Henri Bourassa. <\/p>\n

Transport Quebec said that it has slated the shutdown to permit construction workers to pour concrete on the Highway 125 entrance ramp that they are rebuilding at L\u00e9vesque Boulevard in Laval. <\/p>\n

It added that the work is weather dependent, and could be postponed, if Mother Nature is uncooperative or if it encounters other \u201coperational constraints\u201d. <\/p>\n

Transport Quebec added that it expects work on the span, which it began in May this year, will be complete by the end of September. <\/p>\n
