that the law violates people\u2019s fundamental rights to freedom of expression and that the hefty fines infringe on the right to protection against cruel and unusual punishment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">=<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The United States\u2019 ban on Canadian alcohol is in effect, which sees many Quebec alcohol producers shut out of the U.S. market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">=<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Day 36 of electioneering in Quebec:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 CAQ leader Fr\u00e9chette says that now is not the time to increase immigration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 The Liberals want to implement nurse-to-patient ratios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">=<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw\u00e0:ke says that the Parti Qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois must recognize Indigenous rights and that it does not, in its <em>Livre bleu<\/em> which outlines the party\u2019s vision for a Quebec separate from Canada, economically, socially, culturally and linguistically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">=<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The truck driver who killed a mom and her son, when he drove his tractor trailer into a line of stopped cars at a construction site on Highway 30 in Brossard four years ago, while playing a video game on his phone, and then fled Canada, was sentenced to six years imprisonment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">=<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The partner of a 77-year-old woman found dead in her home in Laval, has been charged with murder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">=<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In several Montreal-area municipalities, murdered and abused indigenous children have been honored in Every Child Matters
