Some experts say that Quebec labour standards should be updated to give employees the right to disconnect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Technology has made workers reachable 7\/24<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Genevi\u00e8ve Richard, researcher at the Centre for Interuniversity Research on Globalization and Work at Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al<\/em> acknowledges that connectivity can be good, that we can work anywhere, anytime, and that our professional environment can contact us\u2014our colleagues, our bosses, our clients can contact us anywhere, anytime.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBut that hyperconnectivity can be harmful, because we are never fully off work which can provide a wide array of negative impacts on physical and psychological health and on the quality and quantity of sleep.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
