Susan Young Brown has been driving for more than 80 years and has renewed her driver\u2019s license until 2033<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Susan Young Browne has lived 108 years, so far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She likes to drive her blue Subaru everywhere, lives independently in her own house in Dover, Delaware, exercises every day, reads romance novels, enjoys dancing and the occasional party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her 83-year-old son, Jim says that she’s amazing 75-year-daughter Lynnette says she’s quite something.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Back in the day, she lived with her mom and dad and nine siblings lived in a house with no electricity, no running water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In elementary school, she decided to become a teacher, honouring the profession for 30 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her tips for living a long life:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Browne credits regular exercise as a big factor in her longevity, starting every morning by getting on the floor and doing ten minutes of a stretching, strengthening and balancing routine, then stands against the wall and exercises her legs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She doesn’t a cane or a walker, does chair dancing with other older and younger people at the Modern Maturity Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chicken, peaches, blueberries are her favorite foods, and an apple every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her morning menu includes a cup of black coffee, a frozen waffle and cranberry juice, avoids fried foods which she admits to loving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No alcohol, no sugar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Browne only takes one medication, a pill to control her blood pressure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
