What he did sparked widespread outrage; the Quebec National Assembly passed motions condemned his actions and Montreal Mayor Martinez Ferrada denounced it &#8216;unacceptable.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">=<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Montreal police Chief Fady Dagher and the Montreal Police Brotherhood want the city to introduce a bylaw, banning insults against police officers and follow the lead of Quebec City. Laval. Longueuil and Sherbrooke that allows police to charge citizens for insulting police and other public officials and Mayor Martinez Ferrada says she is open to such a law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">=<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Premier Fr\u00e9chette says that U.S. President Trump\u2019s new tariff threats on Canada is unjustified and concerning. Trump will impose a 50 per cent tariff on wine, hockey sticks, cement and hockey sticks.
