Researchers say that reverse ageing is no longer in the realm of science fiction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They are working to turn older cells into younger, healthier versions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Boston’s Life Biosciences has dosed the first patient<\/a> in a Phase 1 clinical trial of ER-100<\/a>, an experimental therapy designed to rejuvenate damaged cells by resetting part of the biological age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The study marks the first time that a cellular reprogramming treatment has entered human clinical testing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Researchers are targeting two serious eye conditions; open-angle glaucoma and non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy, that damage retinal ganglion cells, the nerve cells responsible for transmitting visual information from the eye to the brain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
