TD bank organized its 14th annual spaghetti lunch at Manago Vieux Four<\/i> this past Sunday, Sept. 7, to raise funds for West Island Community Shares\u2019 38 charitable organizations on the West Island. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe volunteers from the TD bank make this event a huge success,\u201d explained Nathalie Choo-Foo event coordinator at WICS, \u201cI would to thank their sponsors and their clients who stopped by for a delicious lunch provided by Roberto Manago and his team at Vieux Four.\u201d <\/p>\n

The Lambert ice cream food truck was on site for everyone to enjoy for free while their cars were being washed. Face painting and balloons were available for the kids. <\/p>\n

The Beat of Montreal 92.5\u2019s Natasha Hall and Claudia Marques were on hand for a meet-and-greet the more than 300 people who attended from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. <\/p>\n

Organized by the TD bank, the ticket price of $20 included spaghetti, salad, bread, wine, coffee\/tea and dessert. TD sponsorships brought in more than $100,000 for the cause.<\/p>\n

According to executive director of WICS, Caroline Tison, One West Island resident out of five reaches out for help to a community organization each year. Each dollar directly translates to more hours of intervention.<\/p>\n

The 27-member fund distribution committee at WICS ensures the allocation of funds based on the needs and priorities of the community. They have distributed $9.7 million since WICS inception.
