Quebec&#8217;s Education Minister Sonia LeBel has changed her tune and now admits that her initial reaction to a report from the National Student Ombudsman citing sexual violence in schools is a serious concern that will require her direct attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>=<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Quebec priest, the very Reverand L\u00e9andre Lapointe, has been charged with sexual abuse of a minor and police suspect that there are more victims of the 63-year-old, in the Val D&#8217;or area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>=<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Quebec government has told the owners of property in Austin, in the Eastern Townships, that they will have to stop construction of a golf course and return it to wetlands because they did not have official permission. Mayor Lisette Maill\u00e9 says that damage has been done to farmland and a maple grove.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>=<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A 19-year-old man is recovering from stab wounds suffered yesterday morning in Longueuil on St. \u00c9douard Street.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>=<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The SAAQ outlet in Place Vertu has been closed, as an internal investigation is conducted into complaints from customers, the nature of which aren&#8217;t being revealed.
