The FBI says that 35-year-old Tommy Demorizi had been hiding in the Dominican Republic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>=<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two men who stole the life savings from elderly, vulnerable people in the United States have been sent to jail at the Montreal courthouse: 20 months for 30-year-old  Beaconsfield resident Carson Sean Vaudry; two years for 29-year-old Paul L\u00e9tourneau of St. L\u00e9onard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>=<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recent arrests of Toronto officers in an organized crime investigation has been labelled a \u201csad moment for policing in Canada\u201d by Montreal police chief Fady Dagher who says that his department is, \u201c&#8230;doing the best we can to avoid that kind of event.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>=<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Montreal has become one of the safest cities in North America and the Montreal Police Service is suggesting Montrealers fear the impact of homelessness more than crime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>=<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The City of Montreal is looking at four problematic bike paths to identify safety issues and find solutions: Meilleur Street in Ahuntsic-Cartierville;
