The H.O.P.E. Resource Centre is offering their third annual SCHOOL-IN-THE-HAT draw to benefit a school in the community. The lucky school will win a brain training program valued at $2,500. <\/p>\n

The centre is located at 1600 St. Martin East. It offers parents and their children a range of brain training programs and shorter workshops led by experts. The centre\u2019s experts work with a wide range of learning difficulties and learning disabilities, from trouble with homework to diagnosed conditions such as dyslexia, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, and auditory processing disorder. Programs are available in one-on-one or group sessions. <\/p>\n

H.O.P.E. is one of seven locations in the Montreal area certified to offer alternative learning programs such as Cellfield, a neuroplasticity computer program to accelerate learning as well as a technology called brain training. As described on the centre\u2019s website: <\/p>\n

Cellfield<\/b><\/p>\n

Cellfield is a computer-based programthatpresentsoldcontent in new ways, so that the executive brain function accepts it as being novel.<\/p>\n

Children are given a second chance to master lower level skills. This second chance requires neural, physiological and psychological change to occur. This can only occur when brain plasticity is accelerated when working with this program. <\/p>\n

Brain training<\/b><\/p>\n

Brain training provides a way to enhance a student\u2019s core ability to learn faster, easier, and better. The brain processes information through a complex network of nerve cells called neurons. During the learning process, groupings of neurons physically work together to accomplish learning or thinking tasks. <\/p>\n

Brain training programs work with the brain plasticity of each individual, personalized to overcome their difficulties and work with their strengths while supplying the tools needed to succeed in academics. <\/p>\n
