Laval motorists face detours on Pie-IX boulevard till mid-November<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Laval motorists using Pie-IX boulevard (Route 125) will face road closures and detours as the boulevard and adjacent overpass are being reconstructed until mid-November. The overpass on the boulevard is found just above St. Martin and Lite boulevards. <\/p>\n

According to the MTQ, as the work progresses throughout the coming month, the boulevard could be closed completely at points or restricted to one lane between Boulevard St. Martin and Highway 440. <\/p>\n

During the construction period that be gins shortly, speed will be restricted in the work zone with appropriate zonage posted. Drivers are reminded that speeding fines double in construction sites.<\/p>\n

The MTQ has asked drivers to respect their speeds and keep a safe distance between other vehicles while driving through an area of orange cones to eliminate any danger for the workers on the side of the boulevard. <\/p>\n

Frequent users of Route 125 or Pie IX are encouraged to consult the MTQ’s quebec511.info<\/a> for up to date information pertaining to speed changes, closures and expected detours.
