Transport Quebec announced last week that it plans to resurface Highway 440 in Laval during July and August.<\/p>\n

It said in a statement that the work is needed in order to ensure that the roadway remains safe.<\/p>\n

The paving work will be conducted along the stretch of Highway 440 that runs from Highway 19 to Mont\u00e9e St. Fran\u00e7ois.<\/p>\n

Night closures<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

At some points, construction workers will\u00a0 have to close Highway 440 completely overnight.<\/p>\n

Transport Quebec has promised to post prominent detour signs when they divert traffic onto the two-lane service roads.<\/p>\n
