More than 2,000 foodies are expected to flock to this year\u2019s Greek Taste and Tradition Fest<\/a> at Chomedey\u2019s Ch\u00e2teau Royal, Jan. 25. <\/p>\n

\u201cIn one place, you will be able to sample distinctive regional dishes from 37 different Greek associations,\u201d smiled Hellenic Community of Greater Montreal<\/a> public relations and marketing director Paris Petrou. <\/p>\n

\u201cEach region has its own traditional food,\u201d he told The Suburban.<\/i> \u201cYou will be able to sample whatever dishes you want from the buffet.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cMeantime, there will also be performances of traditional dances from each of those regions, as well as elementary school students from our Greek schools,\u201d Petrou said in an interview. \u201cThere will also be appearances by ten well-known Montreal Greek mainstream artists as well as a disc jockey.\u201d <\/p>\n

Participants can arrive any time after doors open at 1 p.m., Sunday, and the event will continue until 8 p.m.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe wanted to showcase to all Montrealers this year\u2014not just to Greeks, so we were very pleased that Royal Bank of Canada agreed to be the event\u2019s main sponsor this year,\u201d Petrou added. <\/p>\n

A number of VIP guests, including municipal politicians, are expected to be on hand. Tickets cost $25 per person and children aged 4-12 can dine for $10.<\/p>\n
