{"id":2335,"date":"2012-09-27T04:33:00","date_gmt":"2012-09-27T04:33:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rf.podcastfixit.com\/index.php\/2012\/09\/27\/laval-student-wins-sustainable-mobility\/"},"modified":"2015-06-01T19:42:02","modified_gmt":"2015-06-01T19:42:02","slug":"laval-student-wins-sustainable-mobility","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newscoverage.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/27\/laval-student-wins-sustainable-mobility\/","title":{"rendered":"Laval student wins sustainable mobility contest"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\nBy Robert Frank<br \/>\n<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thesuburban.com\/\">www.thesuburban.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p>    The Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de transport de Laval (STL) has<br \/>\nawarded a prize to Laval resident Rosalie Naud,<br \/>\nfor helping to promote mass transit in the<br \/>\nisland city this summer.<\/p>\n<p>    Her name was drawn from among the seven<br \/>\nstudents who STL employed this summer to<br \/>\nencourage citizens to take advantage of the<br \/>\ncity\u2019s high-tech transit system.<\/p>\n<p>    \u201cWe hired university and CEGEP students<br \/>\nwho travelled throughout Laval to acquaint<br \/>\npeople with our services,\u201d STL spokeswoman<br \/>\nMarie-C\u00e9line Bourgault told <i>The Suburban<\/i> in<br \/>\nan interview.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey visited CEGEPs, <i>Centre Laval, Centre<br \/>\nde la nature<\/i> during family day, and <i>Place Laval<\/i><br \/>\nin a business context,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>    \u201cThe told them about our services and<br \/>\nexplained how to use the Internet or different<br \/>\nreal-time applications for iPhones and Android<br \/>\nphones to plan their itinerary.
