Two plainclothes detectives who
\nwork with the joint Laval-North Shore
\ncombined police squad arrested a man
\nand a woman in a car outside a club at
\n117 des Laurentides, Sept. 27.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey spotted a drug transaction
\nbetween a man, 24 and a woman, 21,
\nso they approached the vehicle and
\narrested the suspects,\u201d Const. Franco
\ndi Genova told The Suburban.<\/i><\/p>\n

\u201cThey searched the car and found $1,050 in
\ncash, two cell phones, an electronic
\nscale and 185 g of marijuana buds with
\na street value of $1,850, as well as
\n3,100 pills of speed (amphetamines)
\nwith an estimated value of $63,000.
\nBoth suspects were charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking\u201d<\/p><\/div>\n

\nHe added that two days later, a Laval
\npolice officer who pulled a car over for
\na highway code violation noticed marijuana residue on the vehicle’s console
\nand arrested both occupants. One was discovered to have $6,600 in cash and
\n6.3 g of crack cocaine and faces
\ncharges of possession for the purpose
\nof trafficking; police found that the
\nother was found in breach of judicial
\nconditions.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
\nFinally, Laval’s drug and morality
\nsquad conducted a drug bust at 1098
\ndes Laurentides, the evening Oct. 2,
\nafter local residents complained about
\nstrange things going on in the parking
\nlot of Bar Le Bistro.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey executed three search warrants,\u201d Const. di Genova explained,
\n\u201cone at the club itself, and the others
\nat homes in Blainville and Laval.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n\u201cThey found $2,500 in cash, 141
\necstasy (methamphetamine) pills and
\n796 speed (amphetamine) pills as well
\nas 1.1 g of marijuana, 6.7 g of hashish
\nand 17.2 g of cocaine.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cTwo women, 37 and 28, were arrested and were slated to appear in court
\nto face charges of possession for the
\npurpose of trafficking,\u201d said Const. di
